The authorities can. You need to send a copy of the scam emails plus a copy of the FULL headers to and they can deal with it. NEVER reply to the scammer, or try to in any way contact them. If yiou do it just confirms your email address is active, and they them sell it as part of a list to EVERY illegal agency in the world. By simply doing this on behalf of the receiver of the mails in response to a question on here last week, The following day they were out of business, including a monthly rented office (receiving money from people scammed in just 2 days) being raided.
