Many people have no idea that their personal computer can be easily accessed while they are navigating on the internet and that personal information about them and their computer can be gathered and used later by hackers and multiple companies against them.

All these things can happen if your IP address, which is given to your computer when it accesses the internet, is detected by unscrupulous persons. After finding your IP address it is only a matter of time until they will track all your moves around the internet and they will be able to hack into your computer and steal personal information like home address, phone number, and personal passwords.

In no time you can be assaulted with hundreds of commercials for some kind of product you searched for on the internet a day before, or the boss will find out about your last emails or even your wife or husband can find out about the latest web sites you visited.

In order to protect themselves against such eavesdroppers and web sites they are browsing, many people use anonymous surfing. Anonymous surfing allows you to navigate on the internet without leaving a trail of particulars about your browser, your computer system, your country and IP address.

The anonymous surfing works by using an anonymous proxy server which will talk to the web site and then communicate the requested information to you. The anonymous proxy site is waiting for you to enter the address (URL) of the site you wish to go to and then it will retrieve the page for you and present it to you in a safe way.

The web site you are visiting will not know who you are, will not retrieve you IP address and will only have information about the proxy server you use. When using a proxy server you have to make sure this is an anonymous proxy server, meaning that it will not know you IP address because other common proxy servers can see you IP address and so they can sent it towards the target server. The real anonymous proxy servers are not giving away this information and so your IP is safe from eavesdroppers. The anonymous proxy server will provide its own IP address when you visit a site.

In most of the cases you can use free web anonymizers in order to anonymously surf the web. You don’t need to modify any settings in your browser or setup any programs to surf the web anonymously.

This thing is legal as long as you do not use it for stealing information or for making illegal business on the internet. It can only be used for personal protection against family members, companies or any other eavesdropper who might harm you after gathering personal information about you.

For more resources about Anonymous Surfing please review this website http://www.a1proxy.com

By: Stefan Jechel

About the Author:

Many people nowadays have become more and more concerned about the trails that they live behind while surfing the net. Your IP address, your country, region are just some of the traces that you leave behind. Why should this be reason for concern you might ask. Well, because these are valuable information through which your address, name and even social security number can be found, except if you use anonymous browsing.

There are a lot of people that were victims of hackers, which stole their identity and these cases are increasing in number as we speak. Furthermore, at your workplace or in schools or Universities if you go online people can monitor your each step and see what sites you have been visiting. Your privacy is not respected at all. Moreover, there are places where people are just not allowed to visit certain sites. In all these cases anonymous browsing is the solution. It can protect you from people that might harm you or it can give you the privacy and freedom that you need.

Anonymous browsing has become more and more of a necessity as technology advances. When you browse web- sites, important information is left behind. To prevent that and protect yourself and family against any abuse, anonymous browsing is a must. So computers programs were created to protect your identity and reduce the number of Internet crimes. These programs are very easy to install and do not require any massive knowledge about Internet or computers. You can buy these programs that allow anonymous browsing or you can just download them for free. These programs that help you browse anonymously are like a wall that stands between your computer and the web sites that you visit. Anonymous browsing is very safe and it is what many of us need.

So how do these programs work? When you visit a web site, you are automatically connected to machines that know every detail about your IP address, browser and can identify you right away. Furthermore, as you go from a machine to another, with the help of the cookies, your surf habits can be seen. So anonymous browsing sounds pretty good right about now, doesn’ t it? Nothing more easy. You install the program and you are set to go. This program stops any machines to see who you are, all that they can see is the program that you are using. Furthermore, no one will be able to spy you because if you use this anonymous browsing program, they can not see what pages you are surfing, that is to say where you are at the moment or where you are going. The reason is because the traffic that takes place between you and the program that you are using is encrypted. More ironically, they will not even know that this is web traffic.

Although, there are many programs available today that assure anonymous browsing, many of them many not be as safe as they sound. You should also be careful what programs you choose before you consider yourself out of danger. You should choose the programs that encrypt all the traffic.

When considering using such a program that can turn anonymous browsing from a dream to reality, you should also know that there are some programs that need some special software. However, there is not reason for concern, because those softwares are very easy to find.

In conclusion, you should consider anonymous browsing an objective and try to achieve it as soon as possible, because being safe is far much better than being sorry.

For more resources about Anonymous Browsing please review this website http://www.14proxy.com

By: Stefan Jechel

About the Author:

If you want to surf anonymously on the internet and protect your identity then you’ll need to find some system to surf by proxy. Currently if you just open your web browser and start searching on the web you’ll leave a huge trail behind you leading right back to your home to someone with the right resources. Now it might not sound a big deal to some people - ’so what’ they say, ‘what’s the problem unless you have something to hide’ but it actually represents a huge risk to my identity which I would rather keep private online.

Lets get one thing clear the internet is a great place but there are some huge security issues with it, for instance the majority of information that it sent and received for your computer is completely insecure and visible, it is transmitted in clear text and is visible to anyone with a mind to intercept. In fact a recent European directive has stated that all logs of your web browsing, emails and communication should be kept by the ISPs for two years. The UK Government actually want to store this data on a central database, of course it is all done in the causes of catching criminals, terrorists and the like. We sacrifice our freedom and privacy for the small chance of catching a terrorist who has been surfing extremist websites - personally I’m not overly keen on this.

If we move on from Governments and Agencies spying on us there is another incentive to surf anonymously - their is a another huge sector out to monitor our web browsing habits. The spammers, hackers and data and identity thieves are also just as interested and keen to intercept our information and it is not that hard to do in many cases as each and every web site you visit will leave your IP address on it’s server logs. The IP address can actually be tied down to your physical location quite easily.

So how can you surf anonymously and protect your identity on the internet. Well the often touted solution is to use surf by proxy, that is to use an anonymous proxy to hide your IP address from the web sites you visit. The proxy is simply a server that forwards your requests to a website thereby keeping yours private - the only address left in the logs is that of the proxy server there is no connection to you.

Hereby lies another problem with the thousands of people who have searched the internet for anonymous proxy lists and used one of them. This can actually be an even greater threat to your privacy - many of these anonymous proxies are actually traps set up by hackers or identity thieves. A server is compromised and a proxy service is installed and advertised on lists and forums - then all the information can easily be logged, that is your information passing through that proxy server.

How do you fancy using an ISP run by a bunch of Russian hackers and Identity thieves ? Probably not but that could be what you are doing unless you are 100% certain of the integrity of the proxy server. Remember if something is free and the owners have gone to the trouble and expense of advertising it somewhere there is probably a big catch.

Personally I pay a small fee for a secure encrypted service called Identity Cloaker where I surf the net anonymously and all my communication is encrypted to US military levels. The software provides me with as near total anonymous browsing as is possible - I also use it on my work PC as it prevents all my web traffic being monitored by sites I visit, wireless hotspots I use etc. It even sits on my USB keyring so I can use it on any PC I care to use.

By: Jim Rjindael

About the Author:
